I grew up in Dixon, Illinois, where my midwestern values were formed. I attended the University of Illinois and earned a BFA in Graphic Design, with an emphasis on Illustration.

After graduating, I moved to Denver to start my design career. I learned how to create projects from concept to finished piece for a software company that served a variety of markets including architecture/engineering/construction, electronic publishing, and manufacturing.

After 12 years, I moved back to Illinois, and landed a position at Andrew Corporation, which was later purchased by CommScope, a Fortune 500 company serving the wireless, broadband and enterprise infrastructure markets. I developed a love for branding and digital marketing, and worked on projects such as corporate annual reports, ads, marketing campaigns, presentations and collateral/deliverables programs. I managed a global facilities branding program, and produced creative digital design, including storyboarding for videos, email graphics, and website imagery.

I moved to Wisconsin and continued my design career with Mead & Hunt, a national architecture/engineering firm. Here, I developed a corporate branding program which touched every aspect of the company’s look. Initiatives included proposal and business plan design, acquisition transition graphics guidelines, and developing standards and best practices for the marketing department.

Along the way, my husband and I started an online art gallery business. A physical location followed a few years later, as we restored an 1891 building in historic Mineral Point, Wisconsin, which housed both the gallery and our residence. I served as gallery curator, finding new artists and displaying their work, as well as creating the gallery’s marketing materials and online presence.

I am currently active in Arts Mineral Point, a local arts organization to which I donate my design services.

My professional career in graphic design spans nearly 40 years. I’m lucky to have worked for so many wonderful companies and organizations, where I have made life long friends.

After retiring, I have turned my attention to the fine art world. I have been painting for the last several years, along with creating small sculptural works, and designing jewelry. When not designing or painting, I can be found scouring garage sales and flea markets for that perfect vintage find.
